Position: Electronic Document Designer
Location: Waterlo, ON
Duties:

Reporting to the Team Leader, Analysis/Design, the Electronic Document Designer is responsible for creating and maintaining electronic forms and associated work flow improvements including the creation and ongoing support of distributed print, fill and print, and routable electronic forms applications for both internal and external customers.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Creates electronically fillable documents, providing necessary functionality using programming scripts in conjunction with form software
  • Creates, revises, tests and proofs documents
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, testing new solutions
  • Maintains database driven work-tracking programs by entering and updating status information
  • Maintains graphics by analyzing specified requirements, updating and completing graphic designs, ensuring accuracy and aesthetics, following client standards
Requirements:
  • Must possess programming experience such as JavaScript, Visual Basic and HTML
  • Must possess good leadership, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and planning skills, and persistence to achieve completion of a project
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Must possess good written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • A thorough understanding of the principles of forms analysis, design and flowcharting would be an asset
