Xerox iGEN Helper (3 shift rotation)

Position: Xerox iGEN Helper (3 shift rotation)
Location: Toronto BSC – Ambassador Dr, Mississauga, ON
Duties:

The iGEN Helper is responsible for assisting the operator with the daily maintenance and operational requirements. The iGEN Helper will be responsible for maintaining the work in a consistent manner so that work will be married with Enrollment kit forms from the other iGEN area. As a member of the Production Team, the iGEN Helper is accountable for assisting the operator with meeting department production and quality goals.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
  • Follow quality systems and procedures outlined in the company manual
  • Receive and output digital files for use in completion of work order
  • Evaluate output and make adjustments to obtain a desired level of image quality
  • Inform iGEN operator of quality and equipment problems
  • Set up and maintain any finishing attachments on line (eg. Stitcher)
  • Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area
  • Monitor and manage inventory of supplies. Order and stock supplies as instructed by supervisor
  • Assist with job packaging as needed
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
  • Basic mechanical abilities
  • Good understanding of iGEN functions and bindery processes
  • Familiar with job docket and reporting systems
  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Fast paced environment
  • Frequent lifting of objects up to 50 lbs
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time – up to 8 hours or more per day
