Position: Long Run Collator Operator
Location: Multiple Pakfold - Mississauga, ON
Duties:

The primary purpose of this position is to run a collator with operation of collating multi-part forms together by fastening of glue or crimp and cut
or perforation form for snap-set, single or folded packs, following specs of customer requirements.

  • Collate forms with emphasis on quality production of forms produced
  • Put rolls on collator (paper & carbon) in proper sequence
  • Make proper adjustments for job requirements, complete make ready by doing sample run
  • Do spot checks throughout job for consistent quality of production and quality of printed products
  • Package forms as per customer specs for quantity of packs to be wrapped or boxed
  • Place finished product on skid with instructions for bindery or shipping
  • Complete packing slips and dockets
  • Maintenance of equipment with emphasis on safety, as required
  • Adhere to ISO standards and Health and Safety procedures
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years’ experience on collators with knowledge of crash numbers, cross web gluing, continuous and snapset forms
  • Mechanically inclined with good mathematical skills
  • Ability to operate Hamilton and Ashton collator
  • General knowledge of business forms and their end usage, with understanding of paper and carbon products
  • Ability to work in a team environment, on rotating shifts (Days, Afternoons, Nights)
